Speech Recognition Hardware Recommendations

Speech recognition software demands an extremely high-performance computer. Any weak link in the speech recognition chain can detrimentally affect your systems accuracy and performance.

We recommend notebook computers with hard drives that runt at 5400 RPM's.

We recommend large caches and a 533 FSB on notebooks; 800 on desktops and nothing slower than a Pentium IV 2GHz system with one gig of RAM (512 MB of RAM minimally).

The video card really doesn't matter but we prefer the Andrea USB pod (external soundcard to ensure the best possible performance.
